PayPal is accepted once again!

Update (09/30/2016): PayPal has been restored as a payment option! After getting in touch with the right people, it was concluded that HDoujin is within the acceptable use policy. This should make things much easier for users from countries where the other payment options aren’t available. Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions!

Update (07/07/2016): PayPal has decided that they don’t like HDoujin because they associate it with “file-sharing services”, and refuse to accept payments related to it. This is clearly false (HDoujin is not a file-sharing tool), but so far I haven’t made much progress in reasoning with them. So, for now, PayPal payments are unavailable.

I apologize for the inconvenience!

Original post:

Unfortunately, my PayPal account was recently “permanently limited”, with the only explanation being that the decision was related to HDoujin Downloader.

Therefore, I will no longer be able to accept payments through PayPal for the time being. I’m still going to accept payments through other methods– Skrill, Ebay/Amazon gift cards, and Bitcoin.

If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to leave a comment.

Have you tried creating a new PayPal account? I tried to create one myself but I got linked. So I just bought one from Auction Essistance which they supported me on how to run the account without getting linked.

    Maybe they can help you.

I have considered trying again with a new account, yes. However, I’d still have to make it public/semi-public in order to accept payments through it, which would be a very obvious link to the former account.

I appreciate the advice, though– I may look into the site you mentioned.

Sorry to suggest this if you have tried before, but is it not possible to register another paypal account?

It’s technically possible, but very difficult to get away with. If they have any reason to think the new account is affiliated with the old one (name, IP, traffic sources) it will be automatically banned.

What you can try if you haven’t, is making a separate one and upgrading it to a Business account. I used to run a gaming community and I had two separate paypal accounts, one personal one for the community, and I never really ran into issues. It’d probably get blocked for file sharing though like your first one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, that’s the problem– They’ll just end up linking it back to the other one. I’m still trying to see what I do about it; I think they’re abusing the vague terms in their ToS.

I got a question: So do I send the codes for the Steam Gift Card, then you check and give me the full version serial?

Thinking of purchasing your software since it is really convenient.

Thank you for your interest! ♥ I’m glad you find the program useful.

Yes, that’s how it would work. You’d send me the code by email (or through the contact form), and I’d send the serial key to the email address you use/provide (if you happen to make a typo or something, just send another email stating that the payment came from you).

I’m terribly sorry for the late response; your comment was marked as spam, and I didn’t see it until now.

I’m willing to accept gift cards for Amazon, Ebay, and (as a last resort) Steam, provided that they’re valid for North America (US/Canada, so amazon.com/amazon.ca, ebay.com/ebay.ca, etc). Just send it to the email address on the ‘About’ tab of the program, or use the contact form. Make sure to include your email address along with it, because that’s where I’ll send the serial key (if you happen to forget it or make a typo, just send another email letting me know it was you).

Thank you so much for your interest! ♥

That’s a bummer dude, was just about to purchase license…

Will wait until you get the Paypal situation sorted before trying again.

It doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen, unfortunately. They’re not giving me much information, and the information mentioned at the bottom of the post is all I’ve been able to gather, along with various things such as “selling subscriptions to file-sharing websites” (?).

If you still want to purchase a licence, let me know what payment method works for you, if none of the alternatives listed. I’m still trying to find a suitable, permanent alternative.
