Hi, slightly off topic, do you have app recommendation like your downloader for android? (just simple image downloader that support many manga websites, no reader bs). Something to crawl and download while away from PC

I’m sorry to say I don’t have any personal recommendations; I’m primarily a desktop person myself. Maybe someone else can answer your question!

That would still be Tachiyomi. It’s a reader, yes, but you can add a ton of different sources, nit-pick for the best scans, and then leave a massive download queue running while you walk away.

You can move those downloads anywhere, they’re just PNGs under storage/tachiyomi/downloads/source/title.

I can’t get the program to queue up galleries from Exhentai.

Whenever I try to add a URL, the “getting info” message in the bottom left of the window, but then it disappears and nothing is added to the queue.

I have already double-checked my login info and cookies.

Is it possible that you’re experience the problem described here? Automated login doesn’t work for all users due to some IPs being forced to solve a captcha before logging in. If you add your session cookies manually according to the steps described here, it should work.

You did mention double-checking your cookies, so it’s possible that the problem lies elsewhere. If you generate a log file and send it to me, I should be able to tell you exactly what’s up.

Thank you for following up. You’re right that it doesn’t appear to be a login issue– “Invalid response” suggests that it wasn’t able to parse the response it got from the server. This is often caused by either firewall/ISP blocks preventing access to the site and returning an error page. If you normally need to use a proxy or VPN to access the site through your web browser, you’ll need to make sure that it’s configured to work with HDoujin Downloader as well.

If that doesn’t apply to your situation: When you enable error logging by going to “Help > Enable diagnostics” and attempt to add the gallery to the queue, it will create an “exhentai.org.log” file inside of the “log” folder containing the response from the web server. Email me this file and I’ll see in what ways the response differs from what the program is expecting.

Thank you, but I’m sorry to say this isn’t the one I need– Sorry for the confusion! Inside of the log folder, you’ll see something like this:

            null

Email me the second file (you can find the email address on the “About” tab of the program window), as it contains the full response from the website.

I got it to work after clearing the cookies in my browser and the program, logging on, and using the new cookies. Not sure why the old ones weren’t working though, since they worked fine on my browser.

Glad to hear it! my first thought was that the original cookies were expired, but if they were still working in your browser, that can’t be it. Very puzzling.

Thanks a lot for the follow-up; I’ll add this to the documentation.

Definitely possible! It’s now been added, and should be working the next time you restart HDoujin Downloader.

Let me know if you have any problems!

For sure, it’s now been added! Should be working the next time you sync your modules, which occurs automatically each time you restart the program.

        Hi, Thanks for the plugin!

Sadly, I got this error:‫‬‏‍‪‭‫‬‌‬‎‫‪‭‮‭‎ [error log removed]

Thank you for the error log! I made a mistake and wrote the module against the newer version of the Lua API instead of the current one.

          It should be working now!

I ‘m having trouble donwloading my way through manga sites with cloudflare protection because it blocks hdoujin’s request from getting a manga info and I keep on getting dns blocked message. I tried that tutorial that i saw where you manually enter cookies using the site’s ‘user-agent’ block code but i still can’t.

You’re right, the workaround doesn’t work anymore. Cloudflare is in the process of rolling out new anti-bot measures that are even more tricky that before, and simply copying the cookies won’t work in a lot of cases. If you haven’t already, you can try using the FlareSolverr plugin, which still works for the majority of websites.

It won’t for all sites, but I have another fix on the way that’ll get the rest working again.
