Since all the alternate versions have been abandoned or shut-down, this appears to be the only working version. I tried this link: https://www.natomanga.com/manga/full-auto-buff-makes-my-companions-the-strongest-in-the-world-unconsciously-unrivaled-just-by-being-there
but everytime, I says there are 10 chapters and fails, when there are only 3 listed. Can you look into this?

Hi, sorry to disturb you, i was testing if for longer manga i could try to download some chapters than restart where it left and while yes it’s possibile to continue to download, the first page of the first chapter after it stopped doesn’t get downloaded. Let me clarify

Looks like there was an issue with decoding the image URLs. I just uploaded a fix, so it should be working the next time you restart HDoujin!

Haven’t been able to download from nhentai today, not sure if it’s a new problem
It might be because they recently enabled Cloudflare, which is blocking HDoujin from accessing the website. In the past they’ve turned it off after a while, but in the meantime, try the following workaround.
Basically: Go to Tools > Web Browser from the menu at the top of the program window, navigate to nhentai.net, and then wait for Cloudflare to finish. After that, you can close the browser and continue downloading normally!
If it still doesn’t work for you after that, though, let me know!

I am noticing an annoying issue in mangadex. If a different version of an old (already downloaded) chapter is added in the future (after you downloaded already), it will be marked as a new update to be downloaded.
This happens constantly to me when a new scan group decides to start an old series for example.
Here is the latest one that happened to me, notice chapters 160 to 169 all got recent uploads of an alternate version. This caused an unwanted download: https://mangadex.org/title/3c355cfa-d8a9-495c-a50b-8729102ab2b7/shin-lupin-iii
