It looks like Pixiv has started requiring a referrer header in order to access the images. I’ve already written the the code to solve this, so expect it to be working again in Release 227.

Hi! I’ve been using this downloader for weeks now, and I’ve gotta tell you it’s the best one to download manga. Good job!
Just to confirm, I’ve got some download that said ‘Completed (Some failed)’. Should I retry/reset it or simply force download the file again? If possible, could you add a ‘re-download’ option? Thanks! 🙂

I’m glad to hear you like it! ♥ It means a lot to me.

“Force Download” on an item marked as “Completed” is equivalent to performing a reset and then starting the download again. A reset will not delete any files; it simply resets the state of the task to the default state so the download can be run again. So, you can absolutely do it this way if you want to.

“Retry” is very similar, and will also perform a reset. The difference is that it will only be started if you’ve currently got downloads running. If you’ve got downloads running and the simultaneous download limit has already been met, it will simply be queued and wait for its turn (so in that case it’s exactly equivalent to a reset).

Hopefully one of those options meets your needs! Downloading the manga again may or may not fix the error depending on why it occurred. If you find that the issue persists even after trying again, send me a link to the manga in question and I’ll see if I can figure out what’s going on!

Thanks for the explanation! It helps a lot. “Force Download” works for me. Once again, thank you for your hard work. You’re amazing! <3

Someone mentioned issues with MangaStream in the support forum as well (you can find the discussion here). It’s a result of them changing the domain used by their reader.

This will be fixed in this weekend’s release!

Probably, yes– What’s the issue, is it just not working correctly for the new reader domain, or are you having different problem?

Yup, I think it’s the domain, I have the setting in general to convert to zip, but for mangastream I set it to none and I’m getting it zipped instead of a folder.

            No problem.

            Thanks again.

If you’re having issues downloading from KissManga, make sure you’re using Release 224, as it contains some fixes for the site. You can download the latest release by going to “Help > Check for Updates”.

If you’re already using the latest release and it still doesn’t work, please generate a log file for any chapter and send it to me. You can find instructions explaining how to generate log files here. After that, send it to the email address on the “About” tab of the program, and I’ll see if I can figure out what’s going wrong.

Please correct me if I’m misunderstanding the problem, but this sounds like the intended behavior.

If you change your folder formatting string under “Settings > Save to > General”, the new folder template will be used for all new items you add to the queue. Any existing items in the queue that have been fully or partially downloaded already will maintain their original folders. This is so you don’t end up downloading half the manga into the old folder, and half of it into the new folder.

For any existing item in the queue, if you reset it (right-click > “Set Download Status > Reset”), the saved directory will be cleared, and it will use your new template to generate a new one. For bookmarks, they will continue to use the original manga directory when they download new chapters. This is so you can change your folder formatting string without breaking all of your existing bookmarks.

If you want to change the folder associated with a bookmark, right-click the bookmark in the bookmarks panel, and click “Edit Information”. Then you can change the “Path” field to the new folder name, which will be used from thereon out for all new chapters.

but the next week i update manga it download to the old directories
and every time i update then read manga , i remove from queue.
let see if i still got this problem

When you decided to update the manga this week, did you add the manga to the queue manually (e.g., by feeding the URL into HDoujin yourself)? If you add it to the queue manually, it will use the folder formatting string as defined in your settings. However, if you update a manga through your bookmarks, it will use the original directory that the manga had when it was first added (so, the same folder where all of the other chapters are stored, regardless of changes made to your folder formatting string). That’s what I believe is causing the discrepancy here.

If you want changes to your folder formatting string to always be reflected in your bookmarks regardless of the bookmarks’ original directories, right-click the bookmark in the bookmarks panel, and click “Edit Information”. Erase everything in the “Path” field (so it’s just blank), and click OK. Now every time new chapters are downloaded, it will generate a path based on your folder formatting string instead of using the saved path.

Hi there!! Been using this downloader for a couple of months now and I just love it. I just have a question, is there a way for the manga chapter updates to automatically be downloaded instead of just being put in queue? Thanks a lot.

Under “Settings > Downloads > General”, if you set the default download status to “Downloading”, items added to the queue will start downloading immediately. I’m sure this goes without saying, but this will also apply to anything else you add to the queue, not just new chapters. Someone else has requested a separate setting for this, so it’s on my to-do list.

can you help me with the cookie editor?
i have solved the capcha from tsumino and copy the cookie but it still not working

Did you follow the instructions here? Make sure you’re only copying the session cookie and applying its value; you don’t need to copy the “__cfduid” cookie. Unless they’ve changed the name of the cookie, the one you need is “ASP.NET_SessionId”. If it’s not already listed in the cookie editor, add it; otherwise, change the value of the existing cookie with the same name.

Also, try to limit the number of items you download at once! Trying to download too many things from the site at the same time will trigger the captcha right away. I recommend keeping it around 1 to 2.

yep tried the exact method with only 1 item to download and still error. have you tred it yourself? does it work?

Yes, it’s working perfectly fine from my end. Actually, I don’t have to copy the cookie over at all anymore; it seems simply solving the captcha is enough. They may have changed it to be IP-based rather than session-based, but copying the cookie over is still a good idea.

Just to be clear, are you getting the “cookie expired” error? If not, it could be something unrelated to the captcha.

You might want to try deleting the “__cfduid” cookie before applying the new value for the “ASP.NET_SessionId” cookie. Sometimes it can cause conflicts, though it hasn’t given me any problems on Tsumino specifically. Also, make sure you’re actually applying the new value, not just pasting it in– You need to click “Edit Existing Cookie” before the new value will be saved.

Hi. There seems to be problem with Kissmanga.com

It says no page found for individual chapter download.
And downloading multiple chapters, it just says grabbing chapters and then it finishes without anything download.

    Please check. Thanks!
