Hello Dev, I have a problem when downloading from “hitomi.la”, the status said, “completed”. But it was actually didn’t download anything, my OS win XP SP 3, NETFRAME 4 (latest for my OS). I can send a screenshot if still not too specific. Sorry for bad english. Thanks.

What do you see when you add something from the site to the download queue? Do you see the gallery title, or the gallery id (which will just be a number)? If the title is the gallery id, this is a red-flag that HDoujin was unable to access the site (usually on account of it being blocked).

If you’re using a VPN or proxy, make sure it’s configured correctly such that HDoujin’s traffic passes through it. Some VPNs, such as Psiphon, only affect your web browser traffic by default unless you enable VPN mode.

Hey! Yes, as of last night’s update, the site should be working fine again. I apologize for not replying to your comment right away; I was up pretty late working on this and a few other updates.

You mentioned that you were also having a problem with Mangago. There was an issue with adding individual chapters to the queue (as opposed to adding the entire manga) which should have been addressed as well. If you continue to have problems, though, please let me know!

there seems to be a problem with hentai2read
when a source page only has one chapter the queue reads it as a 0/0 chapter, when a page contains multiple chapters the naming changed, the chapter naming i use was %title% the first chapter contain the title naming normally or for some pages the first chapter is skipped then the next chapter the name changed to (3) then increases the number by 1. ex chapter 2 is (3), chapter 3 is (4) and so on

Well not sure if this is a bug or not i also found it in the h2r site
I usually add links simply by copy & pasting them if it already had them in the queue it would just ignore the entered url but i just noticed when i was checking some of the queues were doubled or duplicated? and the cause was the url
the difference was https and http at times some site that uses http changes to https and then changes back not much a problem since it just overwrites the folder although it uses an extra daily for a file that i already have but as I’ve said not much of a problem but an annoying one though since I’m still a free user at the moment
i also tried duplicating mangahere links by adding s to the http it also duplicated

It’s not necessarily a bug, but you’ve brought up a valid point. I may add a setting that makes it so http/https URLs are considered identical.

One thing you can try for now is going to “File > Options”, and under the “Queue” tab, check “Mark duplicate entries”. This will mark all items in the queue with yellow if they follow a queue item with the same title.

thanks for the tip and also I’m slightly positive this might be a bug, cause it feels unnatural
not sure if anyone reported it yet but is there a fix in the option/settings menu for the explorer.exe duplication in the task manager
when i double click a queue item to open the folder a new explorer.exe is created for it when i end the said explorer.exe the folder also closes but the problem is when you close it normally the explorer.exe is still there using 8~13 mb of memory I noticed once before that I had more than 7 explorer about ten or so explorer.exe running, so it pretty much used up an
            extra 100+mb worth of memory

Well, a bug would imply that it was unintentional– I do agree that it might feel unnatural, though. I’ve added a setting under “File > Options > Queue” to ignore the protocol when comparing URLs. It will be enabled by default in the next update.

As for the explorer.exe duplication, this is normal. You’ll see the same thing happening if you run it from Cmd. It’s up to Windows to free these instances on its own (HDoujin is not in charge of their lifetime), but sometimes it takes a little while to do it. That said, I hadn’t paid attention to this before, and there’s a way to get around it. This too will be solved with the next update!

Loosely– It’s something I’d like to do, but there is not a mobile version in the works right now. However, I do plan to introduce a web-based interface to allow you to access the program remotely, which would easily allow for mobile interactions.

When downloading images from Readcomicsonline …I used to be able to get HQ images but now they’re low quality. Ever since the last update. Hope you can fix this cause manually saving images is a pain in the butt.

If you’re referring to readcomiconline.to, it seems to be working fine from my end; the quality of the downloaded images matches the quality of the images on the website. Could you please send me an example URL or two that exhibits this behavior?

(Just in case, make sure you haven’t enabled image modifications under “Settings > Save to > Convert”, which will scale the images if you have a max width or height specified.)

They changed how their private API is interfaced with, breaking the support module. Fortunately, I’ve already got this fixed and ready for the next release; expect it to be working again with the next update!

    Hi there,

fumanhua.net hasn’t been working previously, as the pages downloaded are all errors. Now it changed to fmhua.com. Wonder if this website could be fixed? It’s one of the best site for BL.

I reali love this program ^^

I’m glad to hear you like it, and I’m sorry that this site isn’t working correctly anymore! I’ll make sure to have it fixed with the next update. I won’t allow anything to stand between you and your BL.

Update: The site should be working again as of Release 247. Let me know if something’s not working right!

Is there a button to update my downloads? Since a new chapter is released every week, I was wondering if there’s a function to update the downloads in the queue.

This is exactly what bookmarks are for! You can open the bookmarks panel with Ctrl+D. To add manga to your bookmarks, right-click the entry in the download queue and click “Add to Bookmarks”. You can use the bookmarks feature to check for new chapters, and if any are found, you can add them to the queue. If an entry for the manga already exists in the queue, its chapter range will be updated. There are various settings you can access from the bookmarks panel to automate every step of this process. If you need any help, feel free to ask!

If you just want to refresh an entry in the queue without using bookmarks, currently the only way to do that is by right-clicking the entry and selecting “Set Download Status > Remove and Requeue”. This will remove the item from the queue and add it again, effectively refreshing its metadata.

        Hi it’s me again ^^

I downloaded from the site just now (below the actual link). There’s 179 pages but the downloader indicates 180 pages. So the status is “Completed (Some failed)”. Read through and all pages are correct. But due to the status it doesn’t add to the download limit just to let you know =_=|||
