I received a message mentioning a similar problem occurring with Mangatown; I assume that came from you! I’ll look into it and have it fixed for the next update.

thanks for this amazing downloader, i just bought 1 year license about a month ago. right now this app is always become not responding after about 20-30 minutes running. in the process list, it says “Suspended”. i already tried any method like restart my pc, update to lastest ver, changing directory, max simulatinous download, etc. but the problem still exist. please help me, i can’t even get my queue finished 🙁 oh yea, and last question, i’m still wondering why downloading from e-hentai is really slow .-.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues! I’ll do my best to help figure this out.

1.) What site are you downloading from when this happens? Does it occur no matter what site you try to download from? If possible, please email me your “queue.manga” and “config.ini” files, and I’ll see if I can determine the problem from there. The only thing that comes to mind right now is that the code for downloading from one of the sites is misbehaving.

Another thing– Did this start happening after an update, or did it just randomly decide to start acting up?

2.) As for E-Hentai being slow, in my experience, the site is just slow in general. You might want to look under “Settings > Downloads > General”, click the “Site-Specific Settings” button, and check what your page download delay for E-Hentai is. Depending on what version you were using, the default will either be 1 or 2 seconds. If you set it to 0, you’ll get faster speeds (at least in terms of the wait time between pages), but you risk getting rate-limited if you’re downloading a lot at once.

after a lot of trying, i found that “Delete pages after converting” is the culprit. when i disable it, the app runs fine without any not responding glitch ._. maybe you can fix it on next update?

btw here is my config.ini, “http://pastebin.com/DudFeCMB”
maybe i had some configuration that cause a conflict for “Delete pages after converting” option

is there any way when downloading manga (one punch man from kissmanga) that the images wont be shrunken down (width) distorting the image in the process, i don’t want to split the image across two pages because sometimes the first part is on page 2 in the reader and the second part is on the next page making it look terrible. what i’m trying to do is leave the dimensions alone and have a wide image on one page that i can zoom in on if anything. https://gyazo.com/4ccefc26d93fa5efd25f8d31593b69bc heres an example of the page difference. any help is appreciated. also there’s an issue with kissmanga where after a couple of chapters are finished downloading the “are you human” captcha comes up (you need to refresh your page) and the download continues progressing but now downloads occur. sorry for the wall of text.

The images aren’t resized when downloaded, unless you’ve enabled that behavior in your image modification settings. The most likely cause here is that the reader you’re using is just scaling them. If you’re using Kuroneko Reader, try selecting “Fit Width” from the sizing options, and then zooming out. All pages will be a uniform width.

As for the captcha verification on KissManga, this is a known issue, but I’ll make changes in the next release so that a proper error message will be displayed instead of the download just chugging along. To avoid triggering the captcha, try to download only one chapter at a time. If you access multiple chapters at once, it can trigger the captcha very quickly.

Also, I’m trying to figure out a way (I know you’re working on it!) to be able to search multiple tags on Hitomi.la

I could find galleries on hitomi.la using their own websites search. Its limited to 1 tag as far as I could tell, though! Thats where the problem lies. So I search the 1st tag I’m looking for. Then import that link list to HDDownloader, hightlight all the files and save their data to (a single?) multiple .txt.

If I can figure out a way to search those, they would all include at least one tag I was looking for, I’m just trying to think of a way to search the second tag across all instances and easily copy all links associated with them so I can have the list I actually want to download.

Thoughts? Quite knew to the program so I might totally be missing something.

I tried to search multiple tags in the HDDownloader search function but could figure out how to separate what I was searching. Not sure if that’s implemented. Thanks for any help!

So you export info files for everything in the queue, and you need to search their contents. One way you could do this, seeing as they’re just text files, is to just use Windows’ built-in search. It will search inside of files if you enable “Always search file names and contents” in the “Folder Options” dialog, and (I verified) that it works with multiple search keywords (instead of looking for the literal string, it will look for the tags separately).

The tricky part from there is easily getting the links back out again. You can open any type of file using “File > Open”, and the program will read all of the links out of it and add them to the queue. The only problem with this is that it only works with one file at a time (I’ll make it so it works with multiple files in one of the next releases, though). Another option is to use the command line to send files to HDoujin (just include them as arguments), and this is probably the best approach:

Once you’ve filtered out the files you want, move them to their own folder, and then run this batch script (save it inside a “.bat” file and then run it):

        cd %CD%
        for /R %%f in (*.txt) do (“HDoujin Downloader.exe” “%%f”)

        * Change “HDoujin Downloader.exe” to the path of the HDoujin executable. You can also change %CD% to the path where you have the files stored; otherwise it will look in the directory that the script is currently in.
        * Make sure HDoujin is running before you run the script. That way it will add them all-at-once instead of trying to open the program for each file.

That should do it! It will open all .txt files in the folder, search for links, and add them to the queue.

Finally, as for not being able to search for multiple tags using HDoujin’s filter– I’ll make that a possibility in one of the next releases as well. Hopefully this temporary solution helps, though!

Hello, would it be possible to add support for the site Hentaicloud.com? I checked the supported site list and it was surprisingly not there

For exhentai, how do you get the name of your download to be exactly like it is in the title of the page you’re downloading when it comes to manga. Everytime I try to download a manga it always cuts the artist name. Doujins don’t do this though. I tried changing it in multiple ways in the settings->save to->chapters but nothing changes. Also new update doesn’t seem to take %MTITLE% anymore. Like it just won’t save it in the settings or maybe I’m doing somthing wrong, I don’t know.

It turns out there was an issue with the exhentai.org parser that was removing the artist name when it wasn’t supposed to. This has since been fixed as of Release 96.

Chapter naming should be irrelevant for exhentai (they don’t have chapters); you probably want to modify the folder name under “Settings > Save to > General”. %MTITLE% cannot be used on its own for naming chapters, because it wouldn’t be unique, and all chapters would end up being saved to the same folder. Using the %TITLE% token in the field I mentioned should do the trick (it’s what’s used by default).

Tsumino is already supported (you can see a list of supported sites here).

If you’re having problems downloading from the site, let me know what’s not working and I’ll see what I can do.

Doujin-Moe.us premium membership links add to queue but show’s a 0 for the pages. There isn’t a login option and I tried adding a cookie. No dice.

I apologize for the late response; your comment was marked as spam, so I didn’t end up seeing it until now.

I added login support for doujin-moe.us in the latest release. I don’t have a subscription, so I can’t verify whether or not it works, but you can try it– if you’re not successful, let me know, and we can try to make it work.

i still can’t add anything on the download queue, i already updated my net framework, nothing wrong with my firewall and already downloaded the latest version. (sry bad english)
btw how do i send my log?

    Reply
    1. DoujinDownloader Post author

First, you need to enable logs by clicking “Help > Enable Diagnostics”. Then, try to add something to the queue. When it fails, a folder titled “log” will be created in the same directory as HDoujin, and inside will be a log file titled something like “[date] site added”. Feel free to generate a couple, and then send them to me.

If you need more information, there’s a help page about it here.

Also, if you’re from a country that usually blocks these kinds of websites, that could be the problem. You’ll need to use a proxy/VPN with HDoujin (some people use VPNs that they don’t realize are only meant to work with their web browser rather than all traffic).
