How to install Manga database [showing does not have write permission]

please advise how to install the Manga database, currently when i try to install it by pressing the "download now" on "check for updates", it says the app doesn't have write permission

The error message you're seeing is a little bit misleading-- It's a generic message in response to the updater being unable to download the companion apps (Manga Database and Kuroneko Reader). This is a known bug I'm going to fix soon, but you can find a workaround to download them manually here.
