Im currently dumping over 5000+ folders into the Manga Database. Upon clicking on some titles, a visual basic error pops up. Are these errors something I should post here? Will any support be provided? I notice quite a bit of stuff posted on these forums goes unanswered/solved. I am happy to try to troubleshoot or problem solve myself. I posted the error in Edge/Copilot and is says "it seems like you're encountering a System.ArgumentException with the message "Parameter is not valid." This error is likely occurring because the code is trying to use an invalid parameter for an operation related to System.Drawing.Image.get_Height()."
I tried to enable the JITDebugger but nothing happened. After some research of how the tool is supposed to work, it says the the application has to allow it. So I assume that the application does not have JITDebugging allowed otherwise the JITDebugger tool was supposed to open.
The Folder was downloaded using HdoujinDownloader. The images are all .jpg and are not corrupted.
Visual Basic Errors
Re: Visual Basic Errors
The error you're seeing a generic one that basically means the image decoder encountered a problem when trying to load in a particular image. It can happen if it tries to load an unsupported file format, but I've also seen it happen for some JPEG/PNG images that GDI is too old to support.
It's been a good minute since I last updated Manga Database; my efforts have been focused on HDoujin itself mostly, which has more up-to-date image decoders. I need to copy that stuff into Manga Database.
If you want, you can email me one of the galleries containing the problem JPEG images and I'll double-check that the issue is what I think it is.
Respect for trying to figure it out, by the way!
