Use HDD as a cli tool

Post by akabhirav » Mon Jul 06, 2020 8:23 am

I am trying to build something similar to SONARR for my comic/manga collection. I wanted to know if it is possible to use HDD as a CLI tool so that I can programmatically provide tasks for checking and downloading along with certain arguments such as conversion, paths, and others.

If this is not possible yet are there any future plans to make it possible?

If you release it as some other tool which can run natively on Linux as well, that would be great

I myself think they are concentrating on Windows platform first since this is a one person created software. The HDD has a long way to grow and update itself before jumping onto another platform. FYI CLI is a MD-DOS terminology that is quite old and the use of Linux is basically killing itself off by eating each other rather then becoming one standard O/S. If they would do that then it would be alot easier for user to go Linux but as of now with all the Distro trying to make it work would cost in my opinion wasted time/labor unless you can provide them more income to do that route.
