How to change artist capitalization when editing metadata

Post by ikhnaton » Tue Sep 10, 2024 7:20 am

Hi,
I’m trying to find a way to change the capitalization of the artist field when editing metadata. I’d like to manually edit the field to override the existing capitalization rules (Proper or Lower case).

For example, if I edit the metadata:
Current - Artist: Abcd
Desired - Artist: ABCD

Currently, the system applies the case rules after I've edited the metadata reverting the capitalization. Is there a way to preserve my manual edits while still applying the rules generally?

Thanks

I understand where you're coming from. It would make sense for manual edits to be preserved while still applying formatting to all other fields. There's currently no way to do this, but you can track the issue I've created here: https://github.com/HDoujinDownloader/HD ... issues/394

There are some challenges in making this work. I'll need some way of flagging all fields that have been edited manually. I have some ideas, and I'll try my best to get something implemented relatively soon.
