Name change not sticking

Post by Bookimp » Wed Nov 27, 2024 9:56 pm

Previously if I renamed a bookmark when there was a new chapter it would show up under that bookmark instead of whatever the original link was named.

Now it's using the original name. This is an issue for two reasons:

1) Sometimes the original name is too long & then I get an error

2) I have the manga under a different name, probably because of digital volumes I've downloaded.

I've attached links for screenshot and my current log zip.

Here is the link for the manga in question (it has done it on others too) https://chapmanganato.to/manga-oo991549

If I understand correctly, you want the title that appears in the download queue to be the same as the bookmark when downloading new chapters.

I might be mistaken, but I don't think it ever did that. It might have seemed that way because if a given URL is already in the download queue, when new chapters appear, it'll update the item already in the download queue instead of adding a new one, so the title stays the same. But if you remove that item from the download queue, it'll be added again, with an updated title as it appears on the website.

Either way, I think what you're seeking here makes a lot of sense, so I've made some changes on my end to support this behavior. The bookmark name will now be applied to item added to the download queue when new chapters are found.

Expect this to be working with the next update, which I'll try to have available shortly!

Hmm maybe I've just gotten lucky before then.

But that is awesome thank you for adding that!! In the meatime at least it flat out tells me the name is too long so I can just edit and restart it.
