Chapter# on Save To > General and Chapter tabs
Chapter# on Save To > General and Chapter tabs
I am having trouble getting my page manes just the way I desire in my own OCD way. On Settings > Save To > Chapter > Naming I have set the name format as "Chapter %CHAPTER#%" with the Determine chapter # from chapter title box checked and Start chapter numbering at 1 unchecked. This names the chapter folders just as I want. On the General tab I have set Pages to "%CHAPTER#%-%PAGE%". This is where I am running into my problem, the %CHAPTER#% variable is not matching between the two tabs.
An example of what i'm aiming for is Manga > Chapter 01 > 01-01.jpg, 01-02.jpg, etc. and also for sub chapters, for example Manga > Chapter 23.5 > 23.5-01.jpg, 23.5-02.jpg, etc.
The problem is I am getting the following instead Manga > Chapter 01 > 00-01.jpg, 00-02.jpg, etc. and Manga > Chapter 23.5 > 23-01.jpg, 23-02.jpg, etc. Is there a convenient way to get the %CHAPTER#% to have the same value (as determined on the Chapter tab)?

Re: Chapter# on Save To > General and Chapter tabs
Don't you do %CHAPTERS%-%CHAPTER#%?
Re: Chapter# on Save To > General and Chapter tabs
I mean %PAGES%-%PAGE%
Re: Chapter# on Save To > General and Chapter tabs
Xander, thank you for responding, but that isn't quite what I'm going for. %PAGES% gives a page count. I'm aiming for a file name within each chapter folder that is formatted %CHAPTER#%-%PAGE% matching the %CHAPTER#% of the chapter folder. The problem is the %CHAPTER#% in the page name is not matching the %CHAPTER#% of the folder. I suspect it may have something to do with setting the folder chapter numbering to be determined from the the chapter title. I'm hoping I am just missing an easy way to get those to match, I'm not looking for a major exercise in coding.
I would just like the flexibility to mix the files in a manga into volume folders or an entire title folder without having to rename the files. And I'm just being picky in that I would like the chapter number in the file name to match the original chapter numbering of the manga. For instance 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 04.5, 05, etc. instead of 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, etc.

Re: Chapter# on Save To > General and Chapter tabs
then %ORIG%-%CHAPTER#%
Re: Chapter# on Save To > General and Chapter tabs
Thanks for mentioning this. I checked things out, and it looks like that when I added the "Determine chapter # from chapter title" feature, I neglected to apply the same functionality to the
%CHAPTER#%
value used for pages (it uses the old method of using the chapter index instead). I'll get that sorted for the next update, which should be available very soon! The only thing keeping the program from being able to do this automatically would be the fact it doesn't allow
%VOLUME#%
as your chapter folder formatting string (right now, it disallows anything that would result in non-unique folder names for all chapters). I can see the value in loosening the restrictions to allow for things like this, so I'll consider doing that.I'm the admin and developer of HDoujin Downloader.

Thank you again Xunder (sorry I misspelled your name last time). And thank you Squiddy, that function would be nice to have if you decide to implement it. I wish I had found HDoujin Downloader before I wasted money on the now defunct DomDomSoft downloader. HDoujin is a far superior product. For now, Bulk Rename Utility will do what i want, but I will not complain if I can do it all here.
